Country Experience: Japan & Korea
JSD has made a number of visits to Japan and Korea in the 1990's.
The visits were primarily focused as follows:
| technical presentations by operating mines; |
| formal ore price negotiations; and |
| equipment supplier visits - Komatsu. |
Commodity supply discussions have included:
| iron ore; |
| manganese; |
| copper; and |
| lead/zinc. |
JSD is therefore familiar with the commodity pricing structures for these exports, as well as shipping terms and contracts.
