Country experience : Madagascar
Early in 2020 we were in Madagascar assisting with an audit of some ore stockpiles at two graphite mines. The capitol of the country is Antananarivo, but the largest port is at Toamasina on the country's east coast.

The graphite mines were very extensive and for the last 100 years have been largely mined as soft surface material and processed by froth flotation. The main products are flake and fine graphite. Carbon grades are about 6% carbon and the upgraded product 99.9% purity.
